Background Information:

I am currently a junior at the University of Maryland, and a research assistant at CAPER. I plan to receive a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Spanish Languages and Cultures in Fall 2009.

Research Interests:

Currently, I am working with Dr. Laura MacPherson on the Distress Tolerance and Adolescent Smoking Behavior study. My interests lie in the broad field of addictions, more specifically in what approaches are best to promote adolescent smoking cessation. Furthermore, I am interested in the mental processes of those who come to be addicted to opioid painkillers.
