Background Information

I graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Maryland in 2007 after which I worked as a full time faculty research assistant at CAPER. I worked primarily on treatment outcome studies in the Addictions division, including a behavioral activation treatment for drug dependent individuals who are HIV+ and depressed. I am currently working with Dr. Robin Mermelstein as a first year clinical psychology graduate student at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC).

Research Interests

Broadly stated, I am interested in the basic biological and behavioral mechanisms underlying both addiction and health behavior change as well as the application of this knowledge to the development of prevention-focused and treatment interventions.

Personal Interests

When I am not doing school work, I enjoy running, being outside and spending time with my friends and family.
